The surgery is following all recommended guidance and implementing urgent additional measures in line with current NHS England and Public Health England requests.
Our highest priority is to keep all of our patients and staff as safe as possible!
We are already limiting footfall into surgery sites and after the government’s announcement on 23rd March 2020 for everyone to stay at home and only leave if absolutely necessary, patients will now be unable to enter the surgery to drop off or pick up prescriptions.
ALL PATIENTS SHOULD NOW MOVE TO ONLINE ORDERING OF MEDICATIONS AND NOMINATE A PHARMACY WHERE THEIR MEDICATIONS CAN BE COLLECTED / DELIVERED FROM.
If you cannot order medications online, please post your repeat slip through the front door. There is no need to come into surgery to hand to a receptionist.
Can I still order my repeat medication online?
Yes, it is only the booking of appointments online we have had to disable.
Can I order my acute medication online? (Medicines that will only be used for a short time.)
Yes, please login to your Online Account. Upon requesting medication, please select ‘Make Custom Request’ and enter here the medication that you wish to request.
Can I still pick up my prescription from the surgery?
No. During this time, we have come to the decision that ALL patients must nominate a chosen pharmacy for clinicians to electronically send prescriptions to. This cuts out the need for patients having to visit the surgery. You will still be able to collect your medication straight from the chemist. Please call the surgery to make your nomination if you haven’t already done so. Failure to do so will mean that you will not be permitted entry into any of our surgeries.
Can I order more than a 28 day supply?
No. There is not a national shortage of medication. Therefore, you will be unable to request more than a 28 day supply – even if you are self isolating.
Can I get my medication same day?
No. There is a still a 48 hour turn around on all repeat medication and 72 hours on acute medication (that is not on your repeat list). Please check with your chemist on their turn around dates.
How do I get an online ordering account?
If you do not currently have an online ordering account, please contact reception via phone and they will provide you with log in details.
How do I nominate a pharmacy?
Simply contact reception via phone and inform them of your chosen pharmacy.
Do you deliver medication?
We are unable to offer this service.
