COVID-19 Vaccinations

Friday 22nd January 2021

We can confirm that NHS England is writing to patients to invite you to attend for a COVID-19 Vaccination at one of the vaccination centers in Nottingham, Mansfield or Newark.

However, please be assured that if you would prefer to attend local sites for your vaccine please wait for us to contact you.

Informal Carers
We are seeing an increase in requests regarding vaccinations for informal carers. The JVCI (Joint Vaccination Committee on Immunisations) has advised that patients must wait to be called forward when we reach their age group. This applies to unregistered carers – ie: looking after someone you live with, a neighbor, etc.

The NHS vaccination programme is now underway.

Patients from all GP practices will receive an invitation, dependant on vaccine availability and clinical prioritisation. We ask that the public is patient and wait to be called forward as we undertake the vaccination programme.

We are asking patients to please NOT contact the surgery regarding COVID-19 Vaccinations.

We are experiencing a surge in calls about the vaccination.

Vaccinations will be delivered in phases – initially in Bassetlaw and as soon as we are able to invite you to be vaccinated, you will be contacted. Please help to free up our phone lines for patients to call us with urgent queries.

If you are calling for an up to date shielding letter, these will be sent out to you from a central national service. However, your shielding letter from last year will still be valid.

For Coronavirus Symptoms, please call either 111 or visit the nhs.uk website for advice. If you need to book a COVID-19 test, please call 119.

Thank you.

We ask that the public is patient with us and wait to be called forward as we undertake this massive vaccination programme.

Please DO NOT contact the surgery, we will contact you.

If you experience any of the COVID-19 signs or symptoms, please book a test by calling 119 or online at www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test
