Riverside health centre has now formally signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant, something that we are very proud of. #ForOurForces
What is the Armed Forces Covenant ?
One of the aims of the Armed Forces Covenant is to support military spouses, including with their job seeking. The Army Families Federation, in conjunction with the Naval and RAF Families’ Federations, has a jobs platform, ‘Forces Families Jobs’; to enable spouses and family members of UK Armed Forces military personnel to have a ‘one stop shop’ where they can apply for jobs directly with employers who have signed the Armed Forces Covenant. Along side with this the Covenant helps veterans get the care they need both mentally and physically.
The foundation for relationships with the Armed Forces community is the Armed Forces Covenant. The Covenant is a means to develop a mutually-beneficial relationship with members of the Armed Forces community who work in our business or access our services. It also provides an opportunity to recognise publicly the value that serving personnel, Regulars and Reserves, veterans and military families contribute to our country.
Across the UK, over almost 5000 organisations have signed the Covenant; 552 are in the East Midlands; 149 are in Nottinghamshire.
