Due to a recent surge in patient calls, our current telephone system is working to maximum capacity and is no longer sustainable for us to meet our usual prompt response times. We sincerely apologise to all our patients for the frustrations and inconvenience this is causing.
As a result, the practice has made a huge financial investment in a brand new telephone system. We are awaiting the new data lines being installed by BT as soon as possible but we are hopeful that this will be within the next 6-8 weeks.
As an interim solution, we have diverted some of our incoming calls to the Misterton site which will disperse the volume on the incoming calls and allow patients to get through to the practice much quicker.
From Monday 3rd August 2020, staff will be answering telephone calls ONLY from the Misterton surgery site. We are unable to deal with face to face enquiries at this time,
However please can we stress that the surgery remains closed to patients and no clinical staff will be on site at Misterton. We will be unable to answer the door so please do not attend the surgery unless posting a prescription.
This is the first stage of our managed approach to re-opening sites in the coming weeks. Please monitor the practice website or further details.
