Important Update: Easier ways to contact your GP surgery online

From the 1st October 2025, NHS England have instructed that under the new GP contact, that all GP surgeries across the country have an online consultation systems in place and available throughout core opening hours 8.00am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday. 

Riverside use an online consultation system which you know as ANIMA. This has been in place for 2 years in preparation for mandatory change. We are really proud of the improvements we have made and the team are continually looking at ways to make your experience easier and ensure you get the right treatment at the right time with the right person or service.

Using Anima allows you to:

  • Book and manage appointments online
  • Request prescriptions digitally
  • Communicate with our team through approved online channels
  • Submit administrative requests (e.g., fit notes, subject access requests)

You can still contact us by phone or in person if you prefer. The new tools are simply an additional option to help you manage your health in a way that suits you best.

If you are apprehensive about using our online system or  you do not have access to the internet,  please let us know as we are here to help you. We also have digital products (iPad/tablet) available for you to use in surgery so we can show you how easy and convenient is.
