NHS App & Digital and Social Inclusion

Posted on:

The NHS App gives you a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services. You need to be registered with a GP surgery in England or the Isle of Man and you must be 13 or over to use the app. Find out more about who can use the NHS App.

Download the NHS App on your smartphone or tablet via the Google play or App store. You can also access the same services in a web browser by logging in through the NHS website.

For quick help on how to access and use the NHS App, view the YouTube clip below for more information.

In partnership with Digital Notts, a Digital & Social Inclusion programme has been set up across Nottinghamshire. The Digital & Social Inclusion Coordinator is there to help patients access online services as well as promote wellbeing services across Retford & Villages via social media. With the launch of Anima at Riverside Health Centre, patients have been swaying more to the online services that the NHS provides with the DSIC being there on hand to help those that have been struggling with online systems such as Anima or the NHS App with Digital hubs being set up in the waiting rooms at surgeries and at community events such as Goodwin Hall’s coffee morning, The Leaky Teacup’s Chatty Cafe scheme and all the various classes and sessions at The Well.

More hubs are to be set up across Bassetlaw especially with the Move More in May campaign where through social media, the DSIC encourages movement by any means to boost your health both physically and mentally and to take part in activities that the local area provides as well as checking out the services of the local area.

The Digital & Social Inclusion Coordinator is aiming to have regular slots and times for the hubs across all practices by the end of the month as well as continuing to work with the local businesses and organisations on setting up hubs to make them more accessible for patients that want to learn more about the online services that the NHS provides.
